Within these walls—once inhabited in the 16th century by the holy men of the Minimes convent, and later, in the 18th century, by the flamboyant Duke of Choiseul, the most powerful man in the kingdom after Louis XV—one feels the magic of travelling through time, and a sense of peace that invites contemplation of beauty.
